Paul Auchterlonie, CEO
Paul Auchterlonie has over 25 years in the behavioral healthcare and propriety education industries. From his summer job in college working with adolescents in foster care and residential treatment, to managing full turnarounds as CEO regional and national multi-million dollar behavioral healthcare companies, Paul has always tried to help individuals and organizations reach potential. His expertise includes organizational turnaround leadership, strategy, marketing and program development.
Paul has worked for Harvard University, The Brown Schools, Aspen Education Group (pre-CRC acquisition) and other leaders in the field. He has spent the past 7 years successfully turning around companies in the behavioral healthcare and addiction treatment space. In addition to appreciating and leading the challenges of organizational change, he enjoys helping individuals launch new, healthy, and engaged lives. Being the CEO of a company focusing on detox, assessment and treatment is an honor and a job he takes personally.
Paul earned his bachelor’s degree from Willamette University and a Masters in Psychology and Management from Harvard University. He resides in Austin, TX with the woman of his dreams. He enjoys running, tennis, golf, wake surfing and beach time on the Pacific. His proudest “accomplishment” is being an involved dad to his three daughters and son—who are now all teenagers.
Manny Nsien, MHA, ACHE, COO
Manny began his career working as an Operations Consultant within several Emergency Rooms across the United States. During his time as an Ops. Consultant, Manny acquired extensive experience in EHR system implementation, Operations Management, Managerial Finance, and Continuous Quality Improvement. His primary focus was on improving quality and throughput within the ER and improving patient experience , which led to improved Core Quality Measures, leading to increased Hospital reimbursements. He later began working with Elements Behavioral Health, with the focus on utilizing data analytics to improve payer relations, revenue cycle management, treatment outcomes and the patient experience. He has a key specialty in developing strong teams to execute financial objectives while developing a culture that is highly patient-centric. His passion and goal for the Behavioral Health industry is to reduce the stigma towards treatment and improve patient equity and knowledge on the different modalities of treatment.
When Manny is not at work, he is an active member of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE). He also enjoys spending time with his wife and son, traveling to Mexico to visit ancient ruins. He received a B.S. degree in Bio Immunology from the University of Texas at San Antonio and a Master’s degree in Health Administration from George Washington University.
Don McInnes, Chief Technical Officer
Don is a seasoned veteran in the IT world. He has been in high-tech since completing a degree in computer programming in 1993. Since then he’s led teams in software development, program management, implementation, delivery, and customer service. He has had success in financial services, telecommunications, and IT infrastructure—at companies ranging in size from 2-person dot-com start-ups to 150-year-old institutions employing over 350,000.
Don’s previous employers include industry-leading names like Autodesk, Fireman’s Fund Insurance, Wells Fargo Bank, Hooked Communications, and Advent Software.
Thanks to his most recent role as Watson Platform Owner at Autodesk, Don is expert in the design and application of IBM Watson.
Don was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. He is a graduate of the University of California at Berkeley with BA in Psychology. He is married with two sons. In his spare time, Don enjoys camping with his family, playing tennis, and playing guitar in a rock band with his oldest son.
Jessica Tyler, Vice President of Business Development
Jessica is a firm believer in Theodore Roosevelt’s quote: “No one cares how much you know, until they know how much you care.” She has carried this message with her from the Heart of Dixie to the Heart of Texas and it has driven her to work with passion, integrity, and an arsenal of resources. She is a 2007 graduate of Auburn University and has utilized her degree in Communication to advocate for patient/client-focused care across a variety of specialties in the medical field including: mental health, addiction, pain, and psychiatry. As an advocate for patients, clients, and their families; Jessica is active in the Austin recovery community and is a member of TAAP – Texas Association of Addiction Professionals, ASCN – Austin Spiritual Care Network, participated in SUD Advocacy Day at the Texas State Capitol and Recovery in the Park.
She enjoys having Austin as her playground and in her free time can be found hiking the greenbelt with her dog, Avett, catching a local show, or enjoying some Austin eats. Being of service to others has been vital to Jessica’s personal and professional growth and she continues to give her time and talents to organizations in need of support, including: Global Volunteers, I live here. I give here., A Million Thanks, Serenity Star Recovery Scholarship, Alzheimer’s Foundation, St. Jude, and Sacred Heart. Jessica is looking forward to guiding the business development efforts of University Park Behavioral Health and is grateful to continue to serve as a resource to her community.
Joshua Walker, Vice President of Client and Professional Services
Josh is a Colorado native, who transitioned to the behavioral health field after a decade in corporate America. He has held positions in business development, operations, admissions, and case management. Josh attended the University of Colorado, where he studied business and finance. Josh’s passion to help others comes from his family’s own journey through addiction and into recovery. Leading a team of caring professionals who help connect individuals and families to the care they need is an honor. In his free time, you can find Josh in the kitchen, at the yoga studio, traveling and maintaining his ranking as World’s Best Uncle.
